The
Association is dedicated to the trends of furthering the concepts of Total Cost
Management and Cost Engineering. Total Cost Management is the effective
application of professional and technical expertise to plan and control
resources, costs, profitability and risk. Simply stated, it is a systematic
approach to managing costs throughout the life cycle of any enterprise, program,
facility, project, product or service. This is accomplished through the
application of cost engineering and cost management principles, proven
methodologies and the latest technology in support of the management process. The
Alabama Section of AACE conducts regular monthly meetings typically on the 3th
Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM. The
meeting location announced prior to the monthly meeting. Meeting Calendar
SEPTEMBER 28, 2004
– Wayne Long
(BE&K Engineering Company), will be our guest speaker.
Mr. Long will give a presentation entitled “Reliability & How It
Applies to Engineering”. This
presentation will show how reliability engineering & maintenance techniques,
using “Best Practices”, can help reduce costs and improve equipment

We will
join our colleagues at the Annual Holiday Social hosted by ASPE & ECOB.
